InPharma-in-Schools held at NKUA

During the NKUA Open Days, three high schools and one gymnasium actively participated in the “InPharma in Schools” initiative organised by Dr. Maria Vertzoni. The 3rd General Lyceum of Petroupolis visited NKUA on the 21st March 2023 with 20 students. On the 27th March 2023 3rd General Lyceum of Vyronas (25 students), 2nd General Lyceum of Iraklion (20 students) and 1st Gymnasium of Psychicon (15 students) visited the NKUA Open Days.

The presentation included a brief introduction to undergraduate pharmaceutical studies and a general overview of the Department of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Technology) at NKUA. Additionally, students gained insight into graduate studies, discovering various academic opportunities and research activities within the department. The presentations also covered, an introduction to European Program and research opportunities supported by the European Union and the InPharma project was given. To conclude the presentation and complement the theoretical knowledge, students visited the laboratories of Biopharmaceuticals and Pharmacokinetics.
