The In-Pharma-tion workshop held last week was a tremendous success, bringing together our Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) from across Europe in the inspiring and innovative setting of Janssen Pharmaceutica in Belgium.
The event featured a diverse range of presentations, covering topics such as discovery pharmaceutics, drug (product) stability, oral solid development, long-acting injectables, clinical packaging and labeling, clinical supply chain, as well as leadership, mentoring, and diversity and equality in science. These presentations, and especially all speakers’ personal career stories, offered valuable insights into career opportunities, personal growth potential, and the core values that shape a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Furthermore, the ESRs had the chance to explore the Janssen campus with its unique sustainability initiatives and experienced the state-of-the-art laboratories. They also had the chance to network with speakers, PhD students, and PostDocs from across the company during a shared networking hour.
Overall, it was an enriching experience that broadened the ESRs’ understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
